A Guardianship is the legal arrangement that gives someone the authority to make decisions on another’s behalf. There are two common situations in which the need to appoint a guardian will arise: Adult Guardianship When an adult becomes incapacitated or legally incompetent and has not executed a Durable or Springing Power of Attorney.
